Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: We needed to walk down to Saas-Almagell because the chairlift to Furggstalden had closed for the season. Our host drove us and our luggage up on the first day, which was very much appreciated. My husband drove out for the weekend and could drive up and the hosts provided a parking pass. The house is very well outfitted for a mountain hut. We enjoyed the cosiness and being away from the main towns. The views were amazing and it was very peaceful.

Negative: The road leading up to the property is quite narrow and bumpy. I would not attempt it without winter tires in late autumn if there is any chance of snow. As it was, we were lucky and had no icey conditions.

Summary: It was a relaxing stay in the Saastal surrounded by autumn lovliness.
